What prescription treatments are available?

Hormone therapy has been proven to effectively treat the symptoms of menopause. There are two types of hormone therapy: estrogen-alone and estrogen-plus-progestin. So, what’s the difference? Estrogen-alone is typically an option for women who have had their uterus removed during a hysterectomy. And estrogen-plus-progestin is for women who still have their uterus.
